2012 Annual Men’s Club Meeting Minutes

March 1st, 2012

Electing Officers

After discussion we decided to have a committee help out with Mens Club events and planning.  Tim Jurgensen, Terry Stahl, Steve White, Don Fauth, Ray Fauth and Andy Miller have volunteered to help with Mens Club events, scoring ect.  Others are welcome to volunteer throughout the year.

2011 Hole In One

It was decided to keep the hole in one pot the same and buy drinks for Mens Club members if a hole in one takes place during Mens Club weekly play or tournaments.

NEW:  A new optional hole in one pot was discussed as follows:  Mens Club members have to choice to pay $5 toward a hole in one pot that will be paid out to a member or members that have a hole in one during Thursday or Saturday mens club play or tournaments.  The pot will carry over to the following year if there is no holes in one.  Only those contributing will be eligible for the pot.  We will start this pot in 2013 with new sign-ups.

2.     Saturday morning mens club play will continue the same as last year.  Start time will be 8 or 8:30 depending on the time of year.  Buy-in for weekly play will be $3-$5 and the format will be 2 man net blind draw with different formats being added later.  Hole events will be in play as well depending on the number of players.

a.     Tee times will be reserved for Mens club until Friday morning and people are expected to call and sign-up each week.

b.    Guests will be allowed to play in the game on Saturday morning if they have an active USGA handicap.

Miscellaneous Topics Discussed

  1. Evergreen will post a sign in the display case outside the proshop indicating whether summer rules or winter rules are in effect.
  2. Mens Club promotion and advertising:  promoting the mens club and adding new members was discussed.  Evergreen has made some laminated signs that mens club members can post and other businesses and locations to help get the word out.  Please ask in the proshop if you would like some signs to post.  All mens club members will make an effort to recruit new members and introduce them to the club.  Saturday morning play is a great time to have potential members come play and meet some the guys in a low pressure atmosphere.
  3. Website:  Jeremy will try to post and update information on the website as often as possible.  Please talk to Jeremy if you have ideas or see errors on the website.

Our next meeting will be in early March of 2013.  Please provide feedback on day of the week and time of day that work best for the meeting.

Thank you to all members that attended the meeting!
